Effie Kesidou

Effie Kesidou is a Lecturer (Associate Professor) of Applied Economics in Leeds University Business School at the University of Leeds. Her research focuses on the economics of innovation, in particular, the effect of regulation and capabilities upon environmental innovations (products or processes). By considering not only technological but also organizational forms of environmental innovations (environmental management systems), she examines the impact of these corporate environmental/social responsibility practices upon economic and environmental performance.

Dr Kesidou has published her work in Research Policy, Ecological Economics, Journal of Business Ethics, World Development, European Journal of Development Research, and Industry and Innovation. Her research has received funding by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO), Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), and by the Universities of Nottingham and Leeds.
