Paul Boardman

Paul regularly fulfills evaluator and panel reviewer roles for NSF and NIH university research centers programs. He has advised the White House OSTP on center organization and management and published two books and over 25 peer-reviewed research articles on the organization and effectiveness of NSF university research centers. Dr. Boardman publishes in and performs peer review for top journals emphasizing the quantitative investigation of centers and centers programs, including Research Policy, Energy Policy, The Journal of Technology Transfer, Scientometrics, and Technovation. He is also associate editor of The Journal of Technology Transfer and an affiliate of the Center for Organizational Research and Design at Arizona State University. Earlier in his career Dr. Boardman was associate professor at Ohio State University, where he taught both masters- and doctoral-level courses in research design and modeling, evaluation, and management and organizations. Before that he was a member of the research staff at the Science & Technology Policy Institute in Washington, DC.
