Biography

Mary Feeney is professor and Lincoln Professor of Ethics in Public Affairs. She is the editor of the Journal of Public Administration Research & Theory. She is a Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration. 

**Mary is currently serving as the Program Director for the Science of Science: Discovery, Communication and Impact program at the National Science Foundation.

Feeney's research focuses on public and nonprofit management, sector comparisons, and science and technology policy. Feeney serves on the editorial boards for Government Information Quarterly, Perspectives on Public Management & Governance, and Journal of Behavioral Public Administration. She was previously on the editorial boards of American Review of Public Administration, International Public Management Journal, Journal of Public Administration Research & Theory, Public Administration Review, Public Integrity, and Public Performance & Management Review.

She has published more than 60 peer reviewed journal articles in public administration, higher education, and science and technology policy. Feeney has two books: "Nonprofit Organizations & Civil Society in the United States" with Kelly LeRoux (Routledge, 2014) and "Rules and Red Tape: A Prism for Public Administration Theory and Research" with Barry Bozeman (ME Sharpe, 2011).
