Cullen Merritt

Cullen C. Merritt joined the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) as an assistant professor in August 2014.  Dr. Merritt received his Ph.D. in 2014 from the School of Public Affairs and Administration at the University of Kansas.  His dissertation, “Specifying and Testing a Multi-Dimensional Model of Publicness: An Analysis of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment Facilities”, explores the primary organizational and environmental factors associated with publicness.  His research interests are in the areas of organizational theory and public management, with particular focus on understanding the publicness institutions associated with organizational outcomes of public value.
