Kayla Schwoerer

Kayla Schwoerer is a 2nd year Master of Public Administration student at Arizona State University. Kayla is currently a Teaching Assistant in the School of Public Affairs and a Graduate Research Assistant at CORD. She also assists ASU’s Fulton Schools of Engineering with research related to engineering education and the maker movement.

Kayla holds a B.A. in Sociology from Texas Tech University. A background in Sociology has had a strong influence on her research interests which include science and technology policy, urban studies and policy, and community development and culture.

When Kayla is not studying and assisting in various research endeavors at ASU, she enjoys helping to develop the non-profit animal rescue organization she co-founded in 2013, and experiencing new cities and cultures through travel.
