Bradley Wright

Bradley E. Wright is Associate Professor of Public Management and Policy in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University where he teaches courses in human resources, organizational behavior and research applications. Dr. Wright’s research focuses on how employee attitudes and behavior are influenced by an interaction between characteristics of employees and their organizational work environment.  Much of his most recent research has focused on public service motivation, leadership and performance management.  His work has been published in the top public administration and management journals, including Administration & Society, American Review of Public Administration,International Public Management Journal, Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory, and Public Administration Review.

Dr. Wright is also active in a number of professional associations and service roles, currently serving on the board of the Public Management Research Association and previously holding elected leadership positions (including conference program chair and division chair) in the Academy of Management’s Public & Nonprofit Division.  Having served as a coeditor of Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory and associated editor Public Administration Review, he now is the editor of Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory.

Dr. Wright received his Ph.D. in Public Administration from the State University of New York at Albany in 2001 and spent several years working in higher education administration at Michigan and New York.  Prior to joining GSU, Dr. Wright was an associate professor of political science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
