Diego Vazquez

I am an Argentinean born British Citizen with more than 25 years of experience in the public sector, consultancy and academics. Currently I am Director of the Centre for Research in Sustainability (CRIS) at Royal Holloway University of London.  My work has been published in academic journals such as the Journal of Business Ethics, Business Strategy and the Environment, Journal of Environmental Management, Supply Chain Management : An International Journal and International Journal of Operations and Production Management. I have written  5 books, including a recent  textbook in Globalization and Sustainable Development: A  Business Perspective, with Oyevaar and van Bommel.

My research integrates organizational studies, supply chain management,  international business and corporate social responsibility. In particular I have been interested on the influence of corporate values, attitudes, leadership and organizational behaviour in the corporate performance (environmental, financial and social) of multinationals, with cases in Argentina, Brazil,  Ghana, Spain, Taiwan and UK

I have also conducted research on the role of organizational factors in the relations between multinationals and stakeholders (such as conflict between communities and multinationals in the mining industry).  My current research looks at the intersection of international business, corporate social responsibility and Human Resources Management/Organizational behaviour in a project analysing the mediating role of Human Resource Management in the environmental and financial performance of multinationals in Brazil.
